Step by step
Start
Sit on the floor with knees bent, feet flat or lifted. Lean back slightly and engage your core. Hold your hands together or a weight at your chest.
Twist to one side
Rotate your torso to one side, keeping your core tight. Move from your chest, not just your arms.
Return to center
Bring your torso back to the center position. Keep your core engaged and your spine long.
Twist to other side
Rotate to the opposite side, maintaining control and keeping your lower body stable.
Repeat
Continue alternating sides for the desired number of reps.
