How to do it

Step by step

1

Start

Begin on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Wrists under shoulders, knees under hips.

2

Reach up

Inhale and lift one arm toward the ceiling, rotating your torso and following your hand with your eyes.

3

Thread

Exhale and thread that arm under your body, reaching across to the other side. Rest your shoulder and temple on the floor.

4

Hold

Hold for 20–30 seconds. Breathe deeply and relax. Feel the stretch in your upper back and shoulder.

5

Return

Inhale and slowly come back up to the tabletop position.

6

Repeat

Repeat on the other side. That's one rep. Continue for the desired number of reps.
