Thoracic Rotation is a mobility exercise that targets your mid-back (thoracic spine) by rotating your torso side to side. It helps improve spinal mobility, reduce stiffness, and enhance posture and movement quality. Muscles worked
Step by step
Start
Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Wrists under shoulders, knees under hips.
Hand behind head
Place one hand behind your head with your elbow pointing out to the side.
Rotate
Rotate your chest open toward the ceiling, squeezing your shoulder blade as you open up. Follow your elbow with your eyes.
Hold
Pause for 1–2 seconds at the top. Breathe and enjoy the stretch through your mid-back.
Return
Slowly rotate your elbow back down to the starting position.
Repeat
Repeat on the other side. That's one rep. Continue for the desired number of reps.
