Fire hydrants are a bodyweight exercise that targets your glutes by lifting one knee out to the side while in a tabletop position.

Step by step
Start
Start on your hands and knees. Hands under shoulders, knees under hips. Keep your back flat and core tight.
Lift
Lift one knee out to the side, keeping it bent at 90 degrees. Lead with your knee, not your foot.
Squeeze
Squeeze your glute at the top. Keep your hips level and avoid leaning to the side.
Lower
Lower your knee back down with control to the starting position.
Repeat
Complete the desired reps on one side, then switch and repeat on the other side.

Tips for best results
- Keep your core tight and back flat
- Don't arch your lower back
- Keep the movement slow and controlled
- Lift only as high as you can without twisting your hips
- Focus on squeezing your glute, not just lifting
- Consistency = results
