How to do it

Step by step

1

Start

Lie on your back with knees bent, a dumbbell in each hand, arms extended above your chest.

Lower

Bend your elbows and lower the dumbbells until your upper arms rest lightly on the floor.

Pause

Pause for a moment with your elbows on the floor, keeping tension in your chest.

4

Press

Press the dumbbells back up until your arms are extended. Repeat.

Tips for best form

Do it right.

  • Keep your elbows at about a 45° angle
  • Lower until your upper arms touch the floor
  • Keep your core engaged and lower back neutral
  • Press the weights up and slightly together
  • Control the weight the whole way
